Tuesdays at 9 a.m. at the Lighthouse Centre, (Kingsland Academy), Craft Group.


Tuesdays at St Stephens Church, Bentilee, at 10.30 a.m.  All are welcome to prayer.

 

Tuesdays at 12.30 to 2.30 p.m. at St Stephen’s Church, Bentilee, Foodbank is open.


Tuesdays 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. at St Stephen’s Church, Bentilee, Streetwise A.


Tuesdays at 6 p.m. at St John’s Welcome Centre, Abbey Hulton, Prayer Warrior’s gathering.


Tuesdays at 7.30 p.m. and Wednesdays, House Group Meetings, at homes in the Parish.


Wednesdays at 9 a.m. at the Lighthouse Centre, (Kingsland Academy), Knit and Give Group.


Wednesday mornings at 9.15 a.m. at St Stephen’s Church, Bentilee, Parent Power Toddlers.


Wednesday mornings at 10.30 a.m. at St John’s Welcome Centre. Coffee, Faith and Chat.


Wednesday evenings at 5.45 p.m. Lightbeams at Kingsland Academy (for Primary School aged children).


Wednesday evenings at 6.15 p.m. at Kingsland Academy, a Fusion Youth Group for those in year 6 and older.


Wednesday at 7 p.m. at St Stephen’s Church, Bentilee, Bible Study.


Wednesday at 7.45 a.m. at St John’s Welcome Centre, Abbey Hulton, Early Riser Morning Prayer followed by a coffee at The Meeting Place cafe.


Thursdays at 9.30 a.m. at The Marychurch Centre. Toddlers Group.


Thursdays at 9.30 a.m. at St Stephen’s Church, Bentilee, Coffee Pot Craft and Social.


Fridays at 9 a.m. at the Lighthouse Centre, (Kingsland Academy), Knit and Give Group.

 

Fridays at 6.30 p.m. at St Stephen’s Church, Bentilee, Streetwise for 5-8 years old.


Fridays at 6.30 p.m. at St Stephen’s Church, Bentilee, Streetwise Youth.


Sundays at 6.30 p.m. at St John’s Welcome Centre, Abbey Hulton, “Scared Place”. Contemplative worship.



October 1st at The Marychurch Centre, Safeguarding Training. It is a Diocesan requirement that all those who work across the Parish with children or vulnerable adults in church, school, clubs, etc have basic safeguarding training. Meetings at The Marychurch Centre at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. for those needing C0 or C1 training.


October 1st, 15th, 22nd, and 29th at 6.30 p.m. at St John’s Welcome Centre, Downtown Abbey Craft and Social.


October 9th and 23rd The Lantern Cafe Community Lunch. A 2 course lunch for £3.75. Sign up in church.


October 12th at St Stephen’s Church, Bentilee at 9 a.m. The Women’s Breakfast. All are welcome.


October 14th at 4 p.m. at The Marychurch Centre, Rota Planning meeting.


October 14th at 7 p.m. St Stephen’s Church, Bentilee, Local Leadership Team meeting.


October 14th  at 7.30 p.m. St Mary’s Leadership Team meeting.


October 14th at 4 p.m. at St John’s Welcome Centre, Local Leadership Team meeting.


October 20th at St Mary’s Church at 10.30 a.m. Harvest Festival Celebration.


October 20th at Longton Methodist Central Hall, Citywide Praise and Prayer Celebration. It will be led by Rev Adrian Stone and his team from Trentham.


October 21st at 7 p.m. at The Marychurch Centre, Friends Of Bucknall Park meeting. All who love our local park are welcome.


October 25th at St Stephen’s Church, Bentilee,  at 7.30 p.m. PCC meeting.


October 26th at The Marychurch Centre, A Barn Dance including a pie and pea supper. Tickets available from Christine Bott, or the Parish Office. Tel. 01782279300.


October 26th at The Marychurch Centre at 8.30 a.m. The Men’s Breakfast. Gentlemen, come along and enjoy a full English breakfast. All are welcome.

Open for business, and highly recommended - The Lantern Cafe, based at Kingsland School. Open from 7.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. each day. A great place to make new friends and enjoy good food. Open to everyone, and catering for all tastes including gluten free.

Also at Kingsland, is The Lighthouse Centre. Ask about it while you are there.

Other Diary Dates

A week of Celebration at St John’s Welcome Centre, Abbey Hulton. 20 years since refurbishment!

October 21st. Afternoon Tea. 6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets available from the Parish Office. Bishop Geoff Annas will be rededicating the church, and turning on the lights on the cross. Music and poetry from Kingsland Academy, Carmountside Academy, and Abbey Hulton Primary School. Refreshments will be served.

October 22nd. A day of Craft and Social. 3.30 to 5 p.m. Family Craft Time, 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Downtown Abbey.

October 23rd 12.30 p.m. Business and Community Leaders Lunch.

October 24th 1.30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Teddy Bears Picnic.

October 25th A Community Celebration to end the week. Music, food, and activities for all the family.

October 27th 10.30 a.m. Community Service. Cafe style all age worship.
